Dr. Rebecca Naomi Cherry, MD

Dr. Cherry did nothing less than save our child’s life.

Dr. Cherry has been my daughter's doctor for severe IBD for three years. She is a wonderful, caring person and is a great doctor. She is a really good specialist, but also looks at things holistically and I appreciate that. She has a wonderful bedside manner in the office and when admitted to Children's hospital. She is really smart (Harvard!) but doesn't have an arrogant bone in her body. I am truly grateful to have her on our team. She has been wonderful with communicating with me via MyChart and on the phone. She's a little hard to get in with sometimes but usually tells the nurse to just make us the last appointment. We don't go to the main office, so that could be why it's harder to get in. Even so, she makes sure we get in when we need to, in the office that's closest for us. I've never had any trouble with the office staff in the Oceanside location. They are all really nice, efficient, and easy to work with. I do deal with the nurses from the main clinic on the phone and through… MyChart and they have all been fabulous. My daughter has a severe chronic illness and it is such a comfort to have a caring doctor and staff on our side.

I have 2 children who are patients of Dr. Cherry's. She has been wonderful to deal with and really listens to what they have to say and answers all of my questions. She diagnosed my daughter after the first GI doc failed to do so for more than a year. She was willing to do multiple tests and sent us to UCSD for a test because Children's didn't have the equipment. I would highly recommend her even though I teasingly told her I was going to give her horrible on-line reviews just so it would be easier to make appointments to get in to see her!
