Dr. Rebecca Lynne Eary, DO

I had the privilege of seeing Dr. Eary as my PCP, and was extremely impressed. She's a very knowledgeable, compassionate, and super-helpful doctor. I was enormously pleased to find such a fine PCP who takes Medicaid. (To us IL patients' loss but Texas's gain, she told me she is leaving the Burdick Family Medicine Practice at end May 2019 to practice in Texas. Alas.)

Had my first visit with her and was very impressed. She spent time answering any questions I had and made some great suggestions. She personally called me to go over my blood test results. I am looking forward to working with her!

First, everyone else I have seen in the office has been great. I had made an appt with another doctor in the family medicine clinic, but there was an emergency during my appt time and said it was fine to see someone else -- Dr Eary. Overall, she's really nice but I'm honestly not confidant in her abilities. First she told me to get a blood test after the appt and I was the one who told her I had to fast before the test. I received a post card about my test results and it said to make an appt to talk about my HDL levels. So I made the appt. Apparently, she coded it as talking about a pre-existing condition (not the HDL) and therefor my insurance won't pay for it. I called her to ask about fixing the error and was told she would not be able to fix it. I plan on filling a report with the hospital about this. Stay clear of this one.
