Dr. Rebecca A Irvine

Poor bedside manner, cold and very rushed

Dr. Irvine is incredibly cold and dismissive. She has no bedside manner and has anyone in the building treat her patients because she absolutely does not care. She has unqualified staff interpret test results and does not look into them herself and therefore gives information that is inaccurate and inconclusive with no follow up.

I have been with Dr Irvine for over a year. She is always pleasant and helpful.

Since moving to Canada I have been fortunate to have had excellent medical care. My doctors in Montreal and Brockville have been caring compassionate individuals. My eye surgeon and ophthalmologist in Ottawa were professional as well, and excellent. However, I wonder why Dr. Irvine chose a profession that she is so unsuited for. The only word that i can use to describe her manner is "disinterested." I dont believe that she is at all concerned as to the patient's health, she makes perfunctory evaluations, and is more concerned with ending the appointment than any medical care. I am completely dumfounded as to her choice of life work.

Knowledge base was poor. Very poor bedside manner. Very poor listening skills. Kept telling me what my problem was before I even finished telling her my symptoms. Seemed to spend time on unrelated symptoms despite telling her no that's not what I was there here for. Very bizare- got a script and diagnoses completely unrelated to my problem and no informaiton or help with actual problem. Dont recommend ever going to her!
