This practice is uncaring and unethical. They fired me for missing an appointment and then dr lavelle actually took the time to cancel the prescription she’d written me that was helping me that had 11 refills left on it. It’s not a controlled substance and I saw her less than 6 months ago. I’ve never had a doctor do this before and I’m furious and hurt that she’d let my care completely go like that with no care at all for continuing care. It’s unethical to drop patients and not provide continuing care. I’ll be reporting Dr lavelle to the appropriate board and making a formal complaint to Blount memorial.

I was seeing another doctor for Interstitial Cystitis but he referred me to her for Botox injections for possible relief. It worked. I no longer see the other doctor. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. She has changed my life.

Her office staff left my husband Standing at the front desk seen him ignored him and said they cannot see us because he walked ahead and sign me in because I just had knee replacement surgery and I was a little bit slower than him getting into the office. Remind you I live in Knoxville and just drove 40 mins to get there for the 2nd day in a row. They lied Saying they called and told me to be their 50 minutes prior to my appointment time when I was a returning patient they have my file I was there at 10:09. I am very disappointed Dr. Lavelle didn't even talk to us about her staffs behavior. They were very rude and wasted our time. I do NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE. I would give them a zero but could only give a 1 star. Blount Memorial Hospital supervisor now has a complaint on file about their office.

I am so pleased I was referred to Dr. Lavelle. My experience so far has been very positive. I have had life-long problems with my urinary system. Her demeanor is very confident and competent. She is comfortable discussing any concern. I like that she explains what she is doing. She recently performed a cystoscopy on me which I really did not want to do. It was very skillfully done. I am thankful to have her on my team!

Doesn't know the difference between a prolapse uterus and bladder.. and I've lived in unnecessary, horrible pain for almost 2 years now. My urine is being released into my bloodstream, making me very sick. Because she said everything was normal and i needed to heal more and that I had a prolapse uterus instead of a bladder. 2 years later and I'm sicker than ever. Glad she's no longer at UT but curious as to why??

I was determined to find a smart and caring female urologist. And I did - - in Dr Lavelle. She is very concerned about you as her patient and listens carefully as you explain your difficulties. I was concerned about the cyststocpy procedure I had to have but Dr Lavelle was gentle and thorough. There was no pain associated with the procedure at all. It made my concerns seem silly especially considering the things I'd read and heard. During my treatment I've had a CT and an MRI, both with contrast. Being allergic to almost everything, I was quite concerned, but she and the folks at UT Hospital made the experience easy. I'm not sure what the future holds with my problems but she has tested and is monitoring my condition regularly. I highly recommend Dr Lavelle. She has a terrific staff at the Turkey Creek office, too. So, if you're looking for a great urologist to look after you, she is the one you want!!
