I was rude to a staff member in office. For 4 to 5 weeks I had been trying to get a copy of my medical records. Which i DONT THINK knew was being kept office site at company called mro medical records and not sure if i was ever asked if that was ok. The staff had faxed the request 2 times with no results or follow ups on there fax & I had spent 4 to 5 hrs on the phone with the staff & mro over the weeks. I asked staff what they were gonna do to get me records and the reply was re fax. I asked again & if this 3rd fax does not go through staff said re fax again. I was rude not yelling rude but my tone and i hung up on staff. I got email and fax of a mro lexington department person & asked staff to send info there staff said they would fax to that number. Then sandhills staff called back said the got email to send to there contact person that they been faxing to and would not fax to the person i asked them to. Staff request still hasn't been processed another week gone by. My contact… person at mro medical record company in the lexington department emailed sandhills form to my daughter who filled it out for sandhills and sent it back in and it has been procesed. Then sandhills family medicine staff tried to take credit for what my daughter did while McNair after 30 plus years releases me as a patient because I was rude and hung up on staff with out my facts or talking to me I don't see much professionalism in that. I was rude because every time I asked a question about my medical records sandhills staff could not answer my questions about the mro medical records co. They didn't know the name of the contact person until the very last phone call. They did not even know you were suppose to be giving a request number. They did not know how I would receive the medical records or an estimated time on it. They did not have a number for mro. Would not give me a work number of there contact mro person. Had sandhills told me that I could request my records directly through mro with out going through them from the beginning I would have done but I had to make a trip to doctors office fill out paper work spend 4 to 5 hours within a 4 to 5 week period to find out I did not have to do any of that I only had to contact mro records handle it myself. THE DOWN SIDE IS I DID NOT HAVE TO PROVIDE ANY DOCUMENTS TO PROVE WHO I WAS I ONLY NEEDED MY NAME AND BIRTHDAY FOR THE OFF SITE MEDICAL RECORDS DEPARTMENT. DOES NOT SEEM TO SAFE TO ME. I also feel after for 4 to 5 weeks of trying to get my records and get answers about my records that my rudeness was more of sandhills staff should be more competent that. And should know more about the company they are using to store my medical records at. I have to take daily medicine that is prescribed to me and they have only given me 30 days to find another family doctor which is not going to be easy having to meet with other doctors until you can find one you are comfortable with after using the same practice for 30 plus years. I am very dissapointed in there service.

Mcnair is a doctor I trust with my life. She changed my life and the life if my family. She is professional but let's me know she cares about me as an individual. She is thorough and compassionate. She helped me beat my depression and anxiety and helped me to cope with life. I am a better mother for having her a dr.
