Dr. Rebekah Jean Abbott, DO

I have been a long time patient at this practice. I have put in multiple calls to the nurse line and called the front office to ask if my doctor was in because I have a serious concern that needed a specific blood test run. It has been almost 3 weeks and still no call back or message back not even from the nurse. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I have since found a new practice fortunately because I now have a significant heart issue that is snowballed into other health issues. It saddens me that this practice with staff who knows my health history was so inconsiderate to my concerns. The new office I am now going to which is not affiliated with St. Luke's took my concern seriously. The front staff listened to my concerns, spoke with the physicians in the office, and the physicians determined I need to come in right away. Their promptness is hopefully going to save me from having a very serious heart issue which is completely preventable with prompt treatment. I… do not recommend Blue Valley Primary Care because of their disregard and lack of ability to triage or follow through with serious concerns of established patients. I loved Dr. Abbott because she always listened to me, but something has changed with this office. Due to this I do not recommend this practice. Their unwillingness to take issues seriously can cause serious repercussions to patient health and result in significant damage. Considering I let the nurse know the specific concern in the messages left that is absolutely terrifying. They could not be bothered with ordering a simple blood test or even call back. The issue I presented with is something when caught early is very easy to address before it results in heart damage. The patient is not the focus at this practice anymore.

She is so caring and he staff are great. She works so hard at helping you solve your problem. I would not want to go anywhere else. I have never had a doctor that, when going through a tough time, had someone call me a couple times a week to check on me. If you need a doctor Dr Abbott is the best,

I have been a patient of Dr. Abbott for awhile. She is a knowledgeable, caring doctor.

Dr. Abbott chose not to listen to her brand new patient. I made my appt specifically for blood work for 2 conditions. After reviewing my medical history and symptoms, she chose to ignore my request for a specific test. Her nurse told me she didn't realize I was experiencing symptoms related to my request - WRONG - she did not listen to me, the patient. I will never return for her "services" ever again. I will also ensure none of my loved ones or friends do either. First impressions are critical and as a young physician, one would think she had been taught this lesson.
