Dr. Reed Attisha, MD

Oral Surgery of Northern New York is across from the Social Security building on Bellew Avenue in Watertown. I needed to have a tooth pulled. I was referred to Oral Surgery of Northern New York. It was very interesting that other oral surgeons could not get me in for months but Oral Surgery of Northern New York got me in the week after I called to request an appointment. Everyone was great--the receptionists, the technicians and Dr. Attisha. I could not even believe how wonderful Dr. Attisha was. He called me dear. He started by explaining that he could only do certain procedures for certain serious problems during Coronavirus due to New York State regulations. Then he gave me the option of waiting for another three weeks when New York State should be reopening for regular dentistry. He also told me that it could be risky. He or his technicians could possibly have COVID-19 since they were not tested every day but frequently. He explained everything that he would do before… he did anything. He walked me through every move that he made. So, he would say "Now you are going to feel some pressure". He would say "Now you are going to hear a noise." "Now you will feel a lot of pressure." He listened to me when I wanted to explain things to him. I was able to tell him that I sometimes needed three Novocaine shots before I was fully numbed. He caused me no pain although this was a back molar. He even stitched my tooth socket. I have been to many dentists. No other dentist has ever done this for me. Dr. Attisha has a very caring bedside manner. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He is possibly the best dentist that I have ever seen. I completely recommend Oral Surgery of Northern New York.
