He has a great personality and makes you feel very confident in his procedures. Its not gloom and doom when you see him. His staff is very friendly, also.

Great Dr, very up front and easy going.

Previously, very like able, fun Doctor. This appointment--scheduled to see him-- I NEVER saw him. Saw only his PA. Not sure he was even there as he has a loud distinctive voice which I never heard at all. I found results of my urine dipstick on MyChart. However, it had no reference ranges on it, so I called his office to get interpretation. Told he was out of town. Two days later I was called by his office and essentially told to check with my PCP about results. This is unacceptable to me as his office should have done more regarding the lab test results, not directed me to my PCP. Additionally, if I have an appointment with him, I expect to see him at some point during my office visit. Unprofessional in my opinion to say the very least. Very disappointed as I have known Dr. Shank for some time as he treated my father as well. I wish I had an explanation for the apparent changes in his office practices as they disturb me greatly.

Although Dr Shank has an excellent bedside manner, he is fun and funny, I am going to switch to a different urologist. I had seen Dr Shank for 6 months before I ever called his office with a question about my treatment. After a several hour wait for an answer, the nurse returned my call obviously irritated with having to deal with it. She, in short, made me feel stupid. Several weeks later, I was admitted into the hospital by the office's doctor on duty. After a procedure, I was sent home by Dr Shank even though I was showing symptoms of a major drug interaction. (Obviously, at the time I didn't know what it was.). I called the office the morning after and was brusquely told to take Benedryl. It simply exacerbated the situation. I called the next day and was informed Dr Shank was too busy to see me, and if I "felt I might have a problem," I should seek care elsewhere. I was able to get into see my primary care doc who immediately admitted me into the hospital to treat the drug… interaction. Dr Shank's office - nurse - and his lack of care taking was appalling. I've thought it through very thoroughly and decided that I should never feel uncomfortable to call a doctor's office to ask a question. I also should have been listened to, and taken care of, when I had a drug reaction rather than pushed off and treated like I was a bother.

Dr Reed is the greatest! You may wait a.long time for appmt &/or in office, but VERY MUCH WORTH WAIT! He takes time to really listen & care..referred many people to him & he is diagnostically accurate. Have seen almost all urologists in Cinti & he is BY FAR THE BEST! Also treats interstitial cystitis well..open to alternative treatments.

Dr Shank is a great doctor. He spent time with us and put us at ease. Best bedside manner I've experienced.
