Dr. Reese W Randle, MD

After being told by a surgeon in Virginia that I could wait forever and something else would take me out before this cancer would. At my daughter's suggestion I decided to go for a second opinion, Dr. Kavya Chitra Mekala, at Wake Forest. Dr. Mekala was shocked the Doctor would give me this info and within 45 minutes I was sitting in Dr. Reece Randle’s (endocrine surgeon) office. Dr. Randle did his own examination and ultrasound (going back several times to make sure his diagnosis was correct). As it turned out, I didn’t have one cancer growing but two. One encapsulated and one not. Dr. Randle explained that due to the LOCATION of the cancerous nodule, we didn’t want to take a chance of it growing into nearby tissue and that it should come out NOW. He drew a picture and explained everything, beautifully. He also gave me time to ask questions and he answered every question I had, very respectfully. He also gave me a card and said if I had additional questions to call. The surgery day… was smooth. Everyone in the surgical unit was so kind and upbeat. I was explained to, again, everything and what to expect. After surgery started, my daughter was updated via text and wasn’t left to wonder what is going on, a REAL comfort to her! My surgery went great, my scar is practically invisible! I’ve seen scars, online, that I could not believe. Dr. Reese Randle did a WONDERFUL job. I know I have left out important facts, but trust me. You won’t find better care!!! YOU WON’T FIND A BETTER SURGEON! Dr. Mekala, Dr. Reese Randle, and Wake Forest,( located in Winston Salem, NC), all ROCK!!!
