Went for pressure check. Left eye 17 Right eye 25. This is after she had me on 4 different drops. She decided to do a laser procedure on right eye. Waited 1 hour for her to come in room for procedure. Machine shut off half way thru procedure and had to be re-started. Went back in 2 weeks and the pressure in the right eye was in the 40's!!!! She immediately told we need to do surgery. GATT procedure. How can this happen? I went for second opinion and found out!!!! 1. Medication given to me would increase cateracts chances. 2. GATT procedure would NEVER work. I was billed from strong for surgery $2000 for ins. and i had a $100 co-pay. Never left her office just went down the hall to another room. Rip-off ins claim. Had Ahmed Tube Shunt surgery by another DR. and pressure in Right eye in now 12. Flaum eye institute had the balls to ask me for a donation!!!!! 3 hour appointments a normal there also STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!!!!!

being treated for glaucoma , going blind now , way to many drops. Would not provide information for employer so now out of work. Zero compassion , takes pressure and does not look in eyes. Blames patient for condition . COLD.

Unable to use the tools of her trade, even with the help of colleagues; will blame her incompetence on the patient. Not the qualities you want to trust the care of your eyes to!

Felt at ease on first visit. Explained glaucoma what would be done. Commented about surgery verses medication for glaoucoma. Would recommend to everyone.

Dr. Smolyak should go back to medical school and seriously study this time. I cannot believe that people like her graduate from Medical school?! She didn't diagnose my problem right, did lots of procedures I didn't really need, prescribed drops that almost made me blind. Recently, I was blessed by finding a new doctor, who was terrified of what Dr. Smolyak did to my eyes. I urge everyone who is looking for a new dr, to never go to her. You only have 2 eyes, do not trust her. Totally unprofessional. I'm seriously thinking of suing her for Malpractice, just because I do not want her to harm another person.
