Dr. Regina A Velarde, MD

Dr. Velarde, insists on a dialogue when dealing with patients. She has an excellent bedside manor.

I have been seeing Dr. Velarde for more than 10 years as my primary care physician. She has been thoughtful and thorough in her diagnoses and recommendations and has even called me at home to follow up on blood work or other test results. An excellent gate-keeper and go-to doctor who knows when it is time to refer a patient to a specialist.

I will never go back to see Dr. Velarde and would caution others to stay away as well. This doctor tried to put words in my mouth, interrupted me, and proceeded to tell me that she had never experienced my symptoms. After putting words into my mouth, Dr. Velarde told me that I was not intelligent.. despite my successful five years of higher education in a scientific field. She rolled her eyes at me and provided me with bizarre diagnoses. I remained very calm despite my frustration and explained what my symptoms were again (the very same way I had said them the first time). She said "Oh, I see" and was still unable to assist me.

Quickly diagnosed my problem and prescribed the appropriate medication.I was an emergency walk-in patient.

I will never go back to her nor will recommend her. She is only there for the money, ripping off patients with her stupid recommendations. I will look for a secure, confident and intelligent doctor.

Very thorough and professional in her diagnosis and treatment. Took plenty of time to understand issues, diagnose them and propose a course of treatment. Excellent follow-up.
