Dr. Baptiste is very patient and listens to your concerns. He checked on my Dad often while he was in the hospital. He also made us feel comfortable about the surgery.

Dr. Baptiste performed a unexpected 5 bypass surgery on my husband. when we first met him in the hospital room I thought he had a attitude of like he was "the one" but once my husband was being prepped for surgery my opinion changed. He came out to speak w/ me before hand and made sure the nurse kept me informed as to the progress of being put on bypass, the surgery preogression all the way through the end. Once the surgery was completed which was about an hour and a half earlier than I was originally prepared for he came out to inform me of how it went and directed me where to go to wait and see my husband then he came out of the ICU before leaving to make sure I knew what I would be in for the first time I saw him. Each and every day up to his discharge he made a point to come by the room and speak with us as to what was going on and what to expect during the recovery.

I had a VERY poor experience with this doctor. His bedside manner is HORRIBLE. He doesn't stick around for questions nor does he stay long enough to hear what you have to say regarding comfort and pain issues. If you complain about pain or run a 101.8 temperature, he tells you to get up and walk or breathe on your IS (incentive spirometer/breathing exerciser). I would seriously find another doctor to do your procedure. He is arrogant, rude, and hangs up on nurses regularly. Surgery should be an experience where you have people around to care for you, answer your questions, and express EMPATHY when necessary. This guy is a flat out JERK. My experience with him was a nightmare. Was it because I had Medicaid? I am starting to think so.
