Dr. Reginald Kai Mason, MD

Dr. Mason performed incredible surgery on my 93 year old father, removing a portion of his stomach and a portion of his pancreas due to stomach cancer. An unbelievable surgery at any age but at 93 he recovered completely and is able to eat anything he wants. After 90 days is now back to most pre-surgery activities. I don't think any other surgeon could or would have done that surgery. What a fabulous asset to the Northern Neck area. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

I have not one negative to say about Dr Mason or his staff. My experience was wonderful. Riverside Hospital was also very caring and not one negative about them either.

dont think it would be possible to say enough good things about Dr. Mason, not only are his surgical skills excellent, his caring nature makes you feel at ease and that he is truly interested in being a partner with you in your healing. He will spend as much time with you as you need until you understand everything, and will leave no question unanswered. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends, and feel comfortable that they were receiving the best care possible, both physically and mentally.

for anyone looking for a general surgeon who is affiliated with a strong hospital , look no further. Dr. Mason is an excellent surgeon, has superior diagnostic skills, a bed side manner above any doctor I have ever met. I could go on and on, but to get to the point, I would easily, and without hesitation, take any family member to this extremely gifted doctor. he is extremely careful, meticulous and caring. you are not a number when you are his patient, you are his friend. if you find yourself needing a surgeon, call Dr. Mason.

He was very profeesional, One of the easiest doctors to talk to. His staff and the hospital staff gave excellent service. We drove from Richmond to his hospital 1 1/2 hours away because we trusted his skills. We didn't care about a marble entrance just great care. I have been through some bad experiences in Richmonds hospitals with both my parents. He and the hospital staff made having surgery a pleasant experience as it could have been. A+ care
