Dr. Reginald Corpuz Rampaul, MD

My wife is in her third trimester and experiencing severe back pain with swelling and difficulty walking after work. We contacted an advice nurse about whether temporary disability might be appropriate, and she scheduled a phone appointment with Dr. Reginald Rampaul. During the call, Dr. Rampaul was dismissive and made multiple unprofessional comments. He stated that people “just don’t want to work,” compared my wife’s condition to his own shoulder pain, and said that back pain during pregnancy is “normal” and not a concern, despite the severity and impact on her daily functioning. He also complained about other doctors who approve disability during phone appointments and expressed concern about people trying to avoid work or lawsuits. At no point did he demonstrate empathy, ask meaningful follow-up questions, or acknowledge how serious and limiting her symptoms are. The overall tone was judgmental rather than supportive. Pregnancy can already be physically and emotionally… difficult, and patients deserve to feel heard and respected. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this doctor to pregnant women seeking compassionate or understanding care.

I feel like the reviews of Dr. Rampaul are so far from my experience. He is and currently still my OB at Kaiser Lincoln. I got in with him by chance, as my normal OB was fully booked. We saw Rampaul and he was super informative as this is our first pregnancy and I'm 36. Fast forward, we had our second appointment with him again and his bedside manner was great. He had a few jokes, still informative and we're really happy with him that we switched our appointments over to him for anything upcoming. I'm sure people who have had him feel like he's "condescending" or just brushing them off, but he's been quite the opposite for us. He's a great addition to the OB team in Lincoln in my opinion and I look forward to our appts with him.

Firstly, was told I could be put on the shot (was on pill for decades) because there wasn't any risk for stroke since I Had high BP at the time due to meds. That was a lie. Found out from Kaiser ER doctor a few months later. Went to this person with symptoms and he talked to me very rudely. Don't even know why people like this become doctors if they can't communicate without being rude or answer questions and explain without sounding condescending. Asked questions my GP told me to ask and he said "she probably said this" and she's not a Gynocologist. Never again with this one and i do NOT recommend.
