Dr. Reid Michael Ness, MD

Dr. Ness is awesome. He's super personable and friendly, takes the time to thoroughly listen and explain things in a way that's easy to understand, and makes me feel confident in medical care.

Dr. Ness ignored my symptoms of pain and told me it was all reflux related. I expressed to him that it was different than reflux, in fact I described the pain as “lacerating and sharp.” Instead of listening to my concerns and using critical thinking skills he actually lumped me together in the category of overreacting female patients who complain of pain. He told me that he’d “been sitting in this doctor’s seat for quite some time, and I’ve seen it all.” His arrogance and pompous attitude prevented him from actually caring for his patient and he missed a major diagnosis. I changed providers and found out quickly and effortlessly that I have 3 digestive system issues. I’m guessing Dr. Ness somehow received the news of my records, and his office called saying, “Dr. Ness would like to order the following tests since finding out you have ________.” I told them no thank you and that I would never be seeing Dr. Ness again. He insulted me by claiming I was overreacting and just had reflux. I… hope he learns to be a curious doctor again, one who seeks first to understand his patients.

He was very condescending, rude and acted like my wife and I were both stupid for even having any questions as to why she was having problems. When we asked a question as far as could some of her issue be this, his answer was "NO, not possible because you don't fit this criteria" without even hearing us out on it. Not everyone fits the textbook criteria. We both work in healthcare so we have a little knowledge about how the GI system works.

Went to him for referral to get a special scan that I needed to find a type of tumor and pretty much told me that my GI wrong she is someone who a trust an who has a 4,3 stars and he talked to me like I’m stupid

My visit with Dr Ness was quite disappointing. He seems that he has a genuine disinterest in what the patient has to say. My visit with him was short and rushed and I left with not a proper diagnosis. If you have the option to go elsewhere, I'd highly recommend against using this clinician.

He makes it absolutely clear without question that you could die right in front of him and he wouldn't even care. He is rude. Pompous, and doesn't even care enough to actually listen to what you are saying. There is just no way to get a definitive and accurate diagnosis with someone like that. I don't know who is writing positive reviews for this man, But I assure you it is not his patients.

Worst Dr I have been to in my life. I have a disease with many complications but he was clueless . He saw me for 5 minutes and I spoke 2 sentences and I did complain they when called to do survey. He could have helped prevent the progression of my disease. I did not choose to see him, I was referred and It was very apparent why they were able to schedule appointment for 2 days later, because no one wants to go to him . He doesn't even deserve 1 star.

Dr Reid is brilliant and saved my husband's life.

I was very nervous about having the colonoscopy procedure done, but Dr. Ness answered all my questions, explained the process and put my mind at ease. Dr. Ness is very professional and knowledgeable in this area. Though the procedure ran late, which happens, the staff was courteous, attentive and everything went fine.

Dr. Ness was very personable. He carefully listened to my symptoms, asked good questions, and offered reassurance. He explained my options and was very caring during my colonoscopy.
