Dr. Reid Michael Thomas, MD

Dr. Thomas is an expert in internal medicine. A lot of folks don’t like him because he won’t “ooo and ahhh” over them. But, I have a lot going on. Three rounds of head and neck cancer with a lot of cancer treatment which has led to Type 1 diabetes. And there’s more because of the surgeries that have gone with that. This doctor is very caring and really good at diagnosing and treating. He listens to me and doesn’t ignore what I feel is the problem. I take him everything from UAMS oncology/endocrinology and he pays close attention.

I went in to see Dr Reed w/ a bad lobe infection, muscle pains & post Covid side affects. Dr Reed informed me that theirs not anything the can do post Covid. He also tried to have me leave w/o any medicine for my ear. Didn’t address or seem concerned w/ my leg pains either. I left w/ little more information or resolution than I went in with. He more or less asked me what I wanted him to do, when HE is the doctor, not me. I expected advising that I didn’t get. Disappointed

Horrible dr....don’t waste your time!!! And his nurse Pam will hang up on you if she feels like it!!!

I really like Dr Thomas as a person and I trust that he will always be courteous and kind. He is a competent doctor and for straight forward medical problems just fine. It's more of a concern because he had to be dragged into the modern computer centric age at a time when patient care depends greatly on specialist for every medical problem. The ability to share information quickly and the ability of your physician to quickly and confidently access results and messages from those referrals greatly affects his ability to make concise, timely and, therefore sound treatment plans. This is absolutely essential in today's fast paced and volume driven medical practices.
