Dr. Rekha Shriprasada Udupa, MD

My daughter suffered from Migraine Aura and even after several episodes (including her throwing up in the doc's office), Dr. Udupa did not diagnose her condition correctly. We had to take my daughter to Urgent care to get a referral to a neurologist and confirm her diagnosis. She always just wanted us to bring her in so she can charge for the visits from the insurance company. She is the only doctor I know who has charged to move my daughter's medical records to her new doctor. Will NOT recommend her.

During initial visits she will be real nice, don't be fooled she will get back at you by charging you with lots of money (which you will also end up paying) I wouldn't recommend her.

she is really good with kids. Very prompt in returning off hour calls. the doctor herself returns calls and answered my concerns even during late hours. She recently moved to a new location, brand new facility with a friendly staff. I will definitely recommends her to my family and friends.

I have very bad experience with her. Please do not take chances with life little baby.

Dr. Udupa has moved to a new location. She has come to a new and beautiful building with new toys for the kids, and brightly painted rooms, for boys and girls alike. Now that the office isn't being over-crowded by the two doctors, and two doctors sets of patients, the waiting time has went drastically down, I've actually walked in, signed my child in, and was brought right back into a room. Other than that, the wait time isn't too bad. Not only is she available 8 hrs a day now, instead of 4 hrs, she is still on-call after hours. No matter what day, be it a holiday, or the hour, she always calls us back when we leave a msg on the emergency line. She's an amazing doctor, I trust her judgement. I would recommend friends, as well as family to her.

I was glad to see that after my outburst (and some others as well) on this website on Dr. Udupa, She took the feedback in a positive way & changed a lot of things in her practice. Her capabilities as an excellent care giver were never in doubt which was the reason we persisted with her after coming back to CA & after our experience. Regardless of how good a doctor you are, you are only good as your team.I was really happy to see that Dr. Udupa is an open minded & responsive in addition to being responsible doctor. We like her as a care giver & now that she has taken steps to strengthen her weaker link, I would really like to Dr. Udupa to people who are looking for a new doctor.

The doctor refuses to come on the phone for parents of the patients & does not return calls on seeking advice on child's health issues. My daughter was suffering from acute vomiting and diarrhea & we had to call the doctor 3 times before she even called back. By that time my daughter had 3 more rounds of vomits and when the doctor did call back after 4 hours of first call she called for a different reason and started chastising us for being impatient. The support staff had NOT EVEN informed the doctor of our call.Please do not go to this doctor.

I won't go to this office again. It's not clean for a pediatrician, the front desk staff are not friendly, they had many billing problems with the insurance company insist you to pay as your responsibility.
