Dr. Rena Michelle Henriques, MD

I have been a patient of Dr Rena Henriques for more than 12 years. Over time as my health care needs have changed she has met the challenge. She cares about and serves the needs of older women. She listens which is very important to me. Dr Rena is familiar with the latest technology and uses it to my advantage.

I became a patient of Dr Henriques two years ago. And i must say that it was perfect timing! She is very personable and for me that is one of the characteristics that i look for in a doctor. Because of my experience with her i have recommended her to several of my close friends and my daughter is now a patient of her!!

THE BEST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER HAD !!!

I have been a patient for 10yrs. Recently I was told 3mo waiting list to get script filled. Appears henriques has taken on too many new clients and therefore the once acceptance one week wait time is 3mos. Unfortunately I now after find a new doc

I had two appointments with Dr. Henriques. The first appointment was simply to refill my birth control which went fine. She didn't really spend time asking me much or learning much about me, but she filled the prescription and she let my husband come back with me which I prefer. The second appointment was for a pap smear. When I got called back, the nurse was really rude about how she told my husband he couldn't come back with me for a pap which she announced to the whole waiting room--embarrassingly full of men. Confused by the nurse' strong and sudden reaction to my husband simply standing up with me (she didn't even ask our relationship to each other at all), I didn't fight the issue, though I should have. I feel more comfortable having my husband there with me for all appointments and especially for private, personal ones like a pap. The nurse didn't apologize but she went on to explain that it was the doctor's policy. I will not be going back to Dr. Henriques. She answered my… questions, but didn't bother to investigate my problems very far, she refilled my birth control, and basically did the minimal amount that was requested of her. It was adequate, but not impressive. Definitely replaceable. And after the way my husband and I were treated, and that she didn't respect my wishes as the patient over her own, I'm definitely not going back. Nor would I recommend her. She was fine, but she didn't go above and beyond for me. Her bedside manner is awkward at best. She seems uncomfortable around people and not sure how to interact. And he policies are outdated and unnecessary. If I want someone to accompany for any kind of appointment, that should be allowed. The whole situation was ridiculous. The waiting room is small and crowded and the staff is rude. No point in seeing her over any other doctor.

She listens and cares about your ailment. Well knowlwdged and great bedside manner.

I can not praise Dr. Rena Henriques enough! Her staff from Charlotte (appt. desk), to her nurses (CC, Tina, Brandi) and the rest of the staff of Downtown Physicians ~ are always very professional, polite, respectable, and knowledgable in every sense of the form and location of the office in the Huntington Building! I have been seeing Dr. Henriques since she started @ Downtown Physicians and now I have retired from the State of Ohio ~ I continue to see her as my family doctor and have referred her to alot of my co-workers and friends. Her quality of time with me has always been well spent (professional and knowledgable), she listens to me with the utmost kindess and has seen me thru alot of medical issues.

I have been going to Dr. Henriques for almost 10 years. She has always been on the ball in terms of records keeping and diagnosing my problems. She is the only doctor I have ever dealt with who takes the time to really talk to me to figure out what is going on with my health and to make sure that I understand her diagnosis and recommendations. Better yet, she tries to find ways to keep my health costs down. She suggested that I switch to using a neti pot when my insurance stopped paying for Flonase. Not only was that pennies a day instead of the $75 a month I was paying for the prescription, it worked better. I really cannot say enough good things about her.
