Dr. Renata Ginsburg, DDS

I made an appointment with a new dentist office with Dr. Renata V. Ginsburg for bonding that needed to be done on my front tooth. My dentist was away for the Labor Day weekend. On a prior appointment they indicated to me they would need an hour for this procedure. I chipped the very bottom of my front tooth when I was about fifteen years old. On Friday I visited a new dentist, Dr. Renata Ginsburg, it was time to have redo same front tooth with bonding. I was clear to Dr. Ginsburg about my concerns with the tooth to blend well with my other teeth and essentially be unnoticeable. I asked if we can look at some shades of color bonding. She was completely unprepared and unresponsive. Consistently looking through drawers for things and made no attempt to share what she was doing. I began to become concerned when I noticed her agitated behavior. I asked if the procedure will take the hour they initially set aside, Dr. Ginsburg said it would not. She gave me an anesthetic, which I… questioned. For bonding? Never have I experienced getting an anesthetic for bonding during four prior bonding procedures and the other dentists never used a drill on my tooth to remove the thin layer of bonding. She proceeded to drill what appeared to be the front center of my tooth, with a large drill, to remove the bonding. Now I'm very concerned she may have damaged a perfectly good tooth that only had a small chip. From my observation she may have easily drilled passed the bonding since it was a thin layer covering the tooth above the chip. Dr. Ginsburg left my tooth with a pile of bonding and a jagged mess the Friday before Labor Day weekend. She never completed the bonding explaining she didn't like the way it looked and it didn't match. No attempt to smooth out the bonding causing me to tell her to fix and smooth out the mess she made. Who would do this? I assure you this is no exaggeration. Aside from the chip, this tooth is perfectly fine according to my regular dentist. I have received many compliments on my real teeth including my dentist. She insisted again I should get a veneer and I explained I'm not a fan of veneers for various reasons. She stated she wouldn't charge me for what she did that day. Charge me for making a mess of my tooth? She was completely unprofessional, unprepared and clearly there are concerns about her unprofessional conduct and how she chose to proceed with the entire process. I seriously questioned her mental soundness. This was on a Friday before Labor Day weekend when most people are visiting friends and family as I was. I was stunned. Dr. Ginsburg explained she didn't have any colors that matched my white teeth after she drilled and began using the bonding.. I asked her why she didn't compare the sample with my teeth before beginning the work. She apologized. From the time I was seated in the dentist’s chair to the time I walked out of the room it was 15-20 minutes of Dr. Ginsburg rushing. It became apparent she was focused on me agreeing to a veneer, a much higher priced procedure. Upon leaving I immediately called a friend, who is a dentist more than 50 miles away, to fix the mess she made. Needless to say, he was just as stunned and explained he never seen anything like this in his career. Highly questionable high reviews.

The crown came out from my tooth. The doctor was able to work with my schedule and accommodate me at my nearest convenience. The work was done very professionally. There was no pain involved and the entire atmosphere has been very relaxing. Thank you Renata! Will definitely visit again.

Dr Ginsburg is probably one of the best dentists in Brooklyn and LI. She is very experienced, knowledgeable and patient. Wait time is minimal and her staff is super friendly. Highly recommended

With some 30 yrs experience under her belt, Renata Ginsburg provides state of the art dental services in two locations: LI and Brooklyn. Wait is minimal, staff is friendly and most importantly the dentist is honest and highly experienced. Fees are reasonable and various insurance is accepted. I’m a patient over 15 years.

My special needs son had an appointment. Its our first time going there. I waited 3hrs for the dentist to look in his mouth, which took her less then a minute for her to tell me to make an appointment for a cleaning. I almost went off. I told the doctor my son was special needs. He was nervous and she was speaking to him rough. I held his hand and told him, its ok, its not going to hurt. The doctor had no bedside manner. I will never go back there.
