Does anyone know why she shut down her office so abruptly I thought she was a very good doctor and it's ashame

I've been seeing her with a rare spinal injury for 10 years and without her care and compassion I'd never made it this long. I was very disappointed to receive a call with very little notice (2 days) that she's closed and not seeing any patients or writing any prescriptions. I was very shocked and will miss her. I hope whoever my new doctor is, they will understand this injury like she did

Have been treated by Dr V. for 5years for a serious and painful spinal condition. Over that time through her efforts I have been able to resume a near normal retirement life. She is very knowledgeable , kind, and thoughtful. Her staff also exhibits these traits.

Dr. Variakojis is professional, caring and her treatments have dramatically reduced my lower pack pain. Also, her staff is very courteous. I've had a very positive experience during my visits -- I highly recommend her.

Dr. V. has helped me tremendously with my carpal tunnel syndrome. I echo previous comments about how compassionate and wonderful she is. Extremely knowledgeable, highly-trained, talented pain specialist. Gripes about wait times and unpaid bills are misguided. Great doctors have many patients that want to see them. People don't realize how challenging it has gotten for many physicians with insurance changes, Obamacare, etc. When you are dealing with controlled substance regulations and trying to see twice as many patients to make a fraction of what you used to, is it not reasonable to want to have patients' bills paid? Reality check, people. The health care landscape has changed significantly, and not for the benefit of doctors.

I had a long history of low back pain. A recent episode of radicular pain, with inflammation was treated with an epidural injection. I had simultaneous relief , as medication was being injected. This was a surprise for doctor V. and attending staff. The effects of relief spanned over a month.

Dr Variakojis is a wonderful doctor and an excellent surgeon. With gifted eyes and hands that complement her expertise. She has given me hope when my disease has beaten me into submission and left me my darkest of times. She is my fourth pain management doctor, and the only one who understands how brutal pain can be. The only other person who actually sees the destruction and helplessness, sadly is my wife. If you have intolerable pain and you can't find relief, you won't do any better than this doctor.
