Dr. Renate Audrea Stingl, MD

Husband in hospital. I stayed all day just to be able to talk to her about what was going on. She came in, barely touched him with her stethoscope so I know she couldn't have heard his lungs, which is one of the things he was there for, or his heart sounds. I've been in the medical field a long time. When I asked her the reason for what he had going on including the mixture of medications and his abnormal labs. She said yes it might be and mixed with being in the ICU and she would have to look in the chart. Well, he's her patient and she should have had better answers. She never came back to his room to talk to me again but made her notes showing she did an exam of him and what she put was not correct. How can a physician put items in a report, especially one that is there for critical care, that she never did? I'm very involved in my husband's, and my own, care where I'm very diligent on meds, test results, any notes and orders. Very disappointed in this physician's care… route.

Dr Stingl was a breath of fresh air. My husband was in and out of the hospital for months before he passed from NETS. Multiple professional flooded his room daily. It always felt like they were just checking off a box on their daily sheets to proof they came in to see him, much like housekeeping. But not Dr Stingl. She brought little attention as she slipped into the room. Instead, she walked right over to my husband every time and gently spoke to him directly. Once she had acknowledged his needs then she would briefly interact with loved ones. I always felt that her main focus was his comfort, period. She’s not a grandstander or condescending. She’s a quiet angel sent in the night to deliver calmness and comfort to her patients.

Let me refrace that, this doctor will not return calls, nurses say she visits the hospital daily, but in 3 weeks I have never seen the lady one time. Will not answer notes left in patients chart ( 3 weeks worth) Waited all day (24 hours), several days, and still no sight of her. Order's MRI for a patient with a pacemaker ( my grandma) and can not be bothered to explain any treatment plan or why someone can not be discharged. Feels like this doctor is milking medicare with no concern for her patients. Norton Audubon Hospital is happy to go along with this ghost doctors plans. I will be contacting medicare. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this doctor.
