Dr. Renato John Giacchi, MD

Amazing bedside manner and very thorough. Extremely knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with me. Not at all rushed. I recommend him to everyone.

Ironic for an ear, nose throat specialist to be a poor listener but that's exactly my experience with Dr Giacchi. He had me coming 2-3 times per week to "suction" my ear infection. It hurt and was terribly loud but when I complained, he said that was the only option. Yet, he also said it was fine for me to fly for a business trip to Chicago. He was wrong on all counts. Flying put me in great pain and when I went to see him about it, his only solution was to place the loud screaming device into the irritated ear canal. "Are you alright?" he asked, because I was clearly flinching from the shrieking device. "No," I said. He continued anyway. Then the ringing started. I told him about it and for the first time, his arrogance vanished and he looked scared. Bottom line is that he triggered tinnitus. It started because he overused the suction device on me, didn't listen to my point of view and now I've lived with ringing in my ears NON-STOP for more than 3 years. Do NOT go to Dr Giacchi.

I would not recommend Dr. Giacchi - I went for a follow up appt after seeing him the first time and still was not better after 2 weeks of strong antibiotic and 4 months of dealing with being sick. I was the last patient of the day and he and the rest of his staff were so disrespectful, acted like it was my fault I didn’t feel better and I wasn’t in and out in 5 mins, AFTER I had been very kind and understanding of the backed up office situation (waited an hour and a half too). Honestly I still can’t believe they were so rude. Then he proceeded to try to prescribe me a medicine I have stated very plainly in my paperwork AND IN PERSON that I’m extremely allergic to. I left upset and frankly feeling worse. He seemed deflated when I couldn’t take the medicine and told me to double up on the nasal spray I’ve been using since I got sick originally and had already told him I’d been using. Needless to say I’m not a fan. Won’t be coming back to him or recommending him to anyone. Good riddance!

I had two ten minute visits with Dr. Giacchi and paid nearly $1000. During the first visit he mentioned a few options for my sinusitis and polyps but ...

I would not recommend this doctor. I had two ten minute visits and was charged nearly $1000. During the first visit he mentioned several options but wanted to treat a sinus infection first. During the second visit he didn't remember anything discussed during the first visit. It was an awful experience.

1.5 hr wait and assistants are very rude and not caring.

We showed up at 3:00 and waited for over an hour and one half. That was just to take the hearing test. After that, they put us back in the waiting room and we are still waiting.. Just a few minutes ago, an older gentlemen who had signed in over 2 hours ago was finally seen. Patients seeing other doctors have been flowing in and out of the office in the meantime. These waits are absurd. Don't go to Dr.Giacchi unless you actually have nothing to do with your life!

Waited 1 1/2 hours..staff aweful...doctors arrogant..these guys are in it for the money..could care less about your health

Brought special needs son to Dr. G, due to insurance change (had been using same ENT dr. for 20 years before this). First visit spent TWO hours in waiting rm. Dr. Giacchi made no apologies, in fact got defensive when my husband gently brought up the subject of getting our son in to appts when needed & not having to wait many days. We were not commenting on the length of our wait time that day, but wanted him to know our nonverbal son could not tell us he had a problem & when he is sick w/ an ear infection he needs to be seen right away that day or next. Dr. got very defensive, not listening fully to my husband & said, this wasn't a typical day, there was an emergency, which was not even what we were talking about. He was abrupt and rude in the office. Cut me off from every question I went to ask. Never looked at our son, except to look in his ears, which was done in a rough manner, never said one word to him as tho he was not there. What a slap in the face. Our dr. - right down the… same st, Dr. F, is completely different. He treated our son like a son, was kind, patient, answered all our questions. That's the treatment our son and every patient deserves - compassion. I am sickened thinking this is the care now available to our son. The office staff altho at times was nice, has been extremely rude on the phone. The whole atmosphere in the office felt tense. Our son was very unhappy after his visits there.

Very long wait. Dr. was unconcerned with my care. Seems to be all about him. Large ego..we diefy these doctaors but they are not the care givers of old...
