She does spend time with her patients. Since she see's cancer patients the appointments do run behind. However, when she is in the room with you she takes equal time and make sure you understand and answers any questions. She is an amazing Dr.

I had emergency surgery for a strangulated hernia when I was 34 weeks pregnant. Dr Bourquard had great bed side manner and fixed me up. I was then able to carry my baby to term. The follow up was with her assistant in surgery and she was great too.

I was to have surgery with Dr. Cornwell but as it was Memorial Day weekend I kept getting bumped. The following morning I was scheduled for surgery again at 7:30 am when Dr. Bourguard showed up to do the surgery. I did not realize that they change doctors and whoever is n call for the day did the surgery. This lady was the rudest Doctor I have had. The surgery was then called off by her and she said I did not have what Dr. Cornwell had said and that he would have operated on. She came to my room with one of her PA's and the nurse and it appeared as if I was on a firing squad. I had not had sleep for 4 days and had been in a great deal of pain. She insisted this was not her first rodeo but she was next in line. What ever that meant. After being on the firing squad line for about an hour and her criticism I was hurting worse and been made feel I did not no what I was speaking about. This lady should not be in the field of dealing with people. It was very apparent that she ruled the… roost. Well, after seeing another surgeon and finding out it was even worse than was first thought and finding out that this surgeon was off base and had misdiagnosed me. So here I sit in pain going on a week pain so intense and hardly no relief. In saying this please get a second opinion if this is your surgeon. Absolutely not concerned about the pain I was in and the new surgeon ordered a stronger pain me to get me thru the weekend.

Told me when I went to Medical school she would listen to me about what I thought was wrong with me. Diagnosed my illness wrong. In the end she turned out to be a good Doctor and saved my life but only after I agured with her about what was wrong with me.
