Dr. Renee Li Cevey, MD

Our children were both under Dr. Cevey´s care from birth to adolescence. Her depth and breadth of knowledge is remarkable and comparable to her compassion and warmth with her patients.

Dr. Cevey is wonderful. She takes the time to really get to know her patients and help parents make the best decisions for them. She has even called or emailed the day after appointments to check on my kids. You don't find that level of caring too much anymore. I completely trust my most prized possessions, my kids, to Dr. Cevey.

Dr. Cevey is wonderful and caring. She spends time with my children and myself and always makes us feel like we are her priority at that time. She has even called home to check on my son when he was very sick as a follow up. Not many doctors these days personally invest themselves like Dr. Cevey. We are thankful for her!

If you can get the "always rushed having a bad day" receptionist to let you talk and make an appointment...the doctor is great!

With only a couple of reviews to read, and the one about the priorities of this practice not in the right place, I was a little wary before my first visit. Much happier now.Just recently moved to the area and needed a physical for my daughter. Specifically asked the doctor and her nurse when I checked in about whether sick issues could be addressed during a well visit without being charged for. Hey, what do you expect after reading that other review, right? Well, there were a couple of points that made a lot of sense. If my insurance, which luckily for me covers sick and well visits, differentiates between the two, then it makes sense that they are different and can both be charged for at one visit if enough time is spent discussing the "sick" issue. I agree that it would be nice to know about the increased charges beforehand, but shouldn't a good pediatrician want to address all issues that may affect your child's health regardless of what your insurance pays for? I, for one,… wouldn't want to go see a pediatrician that only makes sure my kid isn't dying because I'm on a lame insurance that doesn't cover anything and then goes and gives the blue ribbon treatment to the kid in the next room because their dad happens to have an employer that picked a more comprehensive plan. I want my pediatrician to guide me through a comprehensive review of "sick issues" and "well issues" to see if there may be health issues that may be hurting my child that I may not even realize. She's my daughter! If it's for her good, I'll find a way to pay for it. Really, it should be our job as health care consumers to know what our insurances cover and don't cover. If you want a doctor who treats your child differently depending on what you or your insurance is willing to pay for, that's your choice. As for me, I will continue to see Dr. Cevey because I know she is looking out for my daughter's best medical interests.

My husband and I really liked Dr. Cevey - she's excellent with toddlers. However, I was shocked to learn that I had been charged for a sick visit in addition to the well visit. Because I had mentioned a chronic issue that was not typical of toddlers, she charged extra. Like most doctors, she did not inform us that we would be charged extra for this advice. Our insurance does not cover everything - therefore I was really irritated by this. This is unfair to patients who generally pay more for well visits anyway. I think that the practice needs to reset its priorities - or to forewarn parents that if they bring up other health issues that are not typical (how are we supposed to know that?) we will be charged extra.

Dr. Cevey is respectful, affable, kind, concerned, confident and competent. She didn't rush with us; she respected both (teen) patient and parent. We are thrilled to have found her!
