She listens and tries to understand my problems

Dr. Monteiro is dismissive and doesn't care about your needs. If you fit in the "average" boxes and ranges, she refuses to look beyond that. She "diagnosed" me in a field she outright admitted was beyond her, contradicting a specialist I'd just recently seen and been re-diagnosed by. Now my chart is chaotic and confusing. She made everything out to be my fault, handed me a tissue, and told me the appointment was over.

I have never been more disappointed about a provider than Dr. Monteiro. I saw Dr. Monteiro for a serious on-going back issue realizing it was important to establish a PCP. She spent 7 minutes with me and was incredibly dismissive of the pain I was in. To make matters worse, when I asked her to review paperwork from my employer about a pending FMLA claim she said "she didn't have time to fill out the documents." 10 days after the visit with no contact from her or her office I went in person to determine what had occurred. Turns out she set the documents on her desk and went on vacation, must be nice. Her staff can't fill out the documents and have sent us to chase down a different provider who might be willing to. Disappointed in Providence and for the lack of proper care.
