Dr. Renu Bhatia, MD

After several visits with Dr. Bhatia, I left the office as if I had never had the visit. Telling my story with no interaction at all. Felt very let down. The worse is waiting to receive a phone call back. One time I waited for three weeks. The last time it was going into six weeks after calling many times and never a return phone call. Being on an antidepressant and need help to get medicine regulated and can not get a call back is not a good thing at all. This is when I decided not to return back and find someone else or another alternative. Sorry to say, I cannot recommend this doctor.

There was a substantial language barrier. A total lack of of sympathy as I have severe lifelong physical injuries as well as mental illnesses and the one size fits as all approach she threw upon me made matters worse. She made so many assumptions but never asked a question. As it stands I sleep 3 hours every couple of days and repeatedly made her aware of this. I protested her prescribing me the controlled substance she did for sleep it not being a sleep aid but a highly addictive benzodiazepine... then she tried to cut me off abruptly. I tried for 2 years to receive help finding a therapist and nothing :( your suffering wont end here it will truly begin

The wait time just to get an appointment, and then to actually been seen once you have an appointment is incredibly long. Dr. Bhatia listened when I spoke at first, but towards the end of the appointment she began talking over me rather than listening to my concerns. After spending less than an hour with me, she prescribed me a medication that is known to have serious side effects. When I asked about the specific instructions and list of side effects, she said I could “look it up online”. I will find another provider.

Dishonest, a bad doctor.

Dr. Bhatia is a sweet and caring Dr.She is very up front with you and will go all out too help you.
