Best physician who actually takes the time to see her patients and care for them

The doctor is very nice, but her staff is very rude. The receptionist does not even look at you when you speak to her. The nurse is very unprofessional and is the one who decides which patient sees the doctor regardless of your appointment. Cannot recommend. The doctor needs to replace her staff.

I found Dr. Boyapalli and her staff- Monica and Pratibha; are a great professional team and do their best to help maintain and improve my Type 1 IDDM. I have Medicare insurance and Dr. Boyapalli seems to know all that is needed to get Medicare insurance approval for the best insulin and insulin pump supplies. When she says she will do something- from calling in a prescription to getting approval from insurance - it gets done THAT DAY!

After having a few horrible experiences with Endos; it was refreshing to have this good doctor. But I have found she may have mis informed/diagnosed something about my insulin dosage because I contacted my CDE and this pro contradicted everything my new Endo -Dr. Boyapalli stated- so whom am I to believe- the CDE because my condition improved. But my goal with Boyapalli was to get proper RXs for my insulin and getting a new insulin pump. She takes Medicare so that is also a plus. But -maybe I was expecting too much- but that day I stepped on a sliver of glass at home and I requested Dr. Boyapalli to help me take it out during my routine exam- anyone that works with diabetics knows how important it is to protect a diabetic's feet- or else they are amputated! Dr. Boyapalli refused and gave me a referral to see a podiatrist AFTER she stated "Oh I see it - yes you can just take a knife or scalpel with tweezers and pull it out yourself... Uh- well due to my diabetes retinopathy (loss of… vision) I CANNOT pull it out myself- but since YOU SEE IT- why can't you do it now??? NOt ONE other patient was on her schedule at 3pm -- I know because I overheard the receptionist tell her this before she came into see me-- so was it asking too much to pull out a piece of glass OR was it appropriate for a doctor to ignore it and refer me to see someone else? First do no harm is the credo of all doctors... she let me leave limping out with glass in my foot.. isn't there a tale of a lion and a mouse pulling out a thorn... sheesh if wild animals-- she could have billed me more money if that was the problem! All diabetic doctors are supposed to check on the patient's feet ALWAYS due to our many complications.. .so maybe I rated her too high-- she does NOT show care to the patient's needs.. but I am focused on getting my insulin pump and getting all that has been excellent thus far.
