Renuka Gera, MD

Renuka Gera, MD, MBBS, is a board-certified Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist. Dr. Gera has expertise in treating a broad range of pediatric cancers and pediatric blood disorders.
Academically, she is a Professor of Pediatrics and the Division Chief of Pediatric Hematology Oncology for the Department of Pediatrics and Human Development, College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University.
Dr. Gera is a dedicated medical educator, clinician, and clinical researcher. She has served as a pediatric clerkship director for 4 years. From 2005- 2020 she was the community assistant dean for Lansing Community. She led the division as institutional children oncology PI from 2006 -2018.
Dr Gera currently serves as a Co-Principal Investigator, on several clinical trials with the Children's Oncology Group and American Thrombosis and Hemostasis Network. She is a committed mentor to many medical students, residents and junior faculty.
