Dr. Reuben David Burshtein, DO

Dr. Burshtein was assigned to me during my stay at Good Samaritan Hospital. He took his time and made sure to let me know that he was appropriately coordinating with his team to provide high quality care. He updated me every step of the way and answered all my questions without hesitation. If you ever need neurological care, Dr. Burshtein is the best. He went above and beyond to save my life. I would definitely recommend! G-d bless Dr. Burshtein.

He was assigned as the inpatient Neurologist for my mother. He spent 2 mins, he did not know what medications she was on, did not know the doses, brushed off the imaging studies when questioned about them. Then he said, you cannot follow up with me I do not see patients outpatient, and my office is too busy to see you when questioned who she should follow up with. He said just call your insurance and find someone. In all my years in healthcare I have never had a specialist say just “call your insurance” and not refer to a colleague. Maybe this is why he is assigned to patients inpatient. He obviously never learned what a good bedside manner was. Hope you or your family does does not have to deal with him as a consult.
