Dr. Reuben Kristian Ellis, MD

I did not find him to be patient. He was dismissive and rude.

Dr. Reuben Ellis is without a doubt one of the most exceptional physicians in his field that I have had the honor to meet to date. His service to the patient is dedicated, his bedside manner exceptional, and his professionalism commendable. It would not surprise me if Dr. Ellis had a copy of the Hippocratic Oath framed somewhere in his home. A very rare find in a world of doctors who are not willing to wade through the changing tide of health care in 2015.

Dr. Ellis is a very attentive, caring doctor. He speaks to my mother in an understanding tone and is informative without being condescending. He has helped her understand how her use of medications - even those that have been prescribed by other MDs might affect her kidneys. He also is open to discussing my mother's care with me (with my mother's permission of course). At one point when my mother first started to visit doctor Ellis, both she and I were unsure if she was getting the best care due to my mother's discomfort with her particular kidney concerns. I contacted the office to have mom transferred somewhere else, but Dr. Ellis himself contacted me after his RN received my request. He described the care he was providing to my mother in great detail and was very understanding of the discomfort that my mother's particular situation was causing. Needless to say my mother has been in his care every since and she has gotten better. Dr. Ellis is great at providing both of us… (i.e., me and mom) with an accurate picture of what is going on with my mother and what can be expected in the future. He is a great MD. Don't doubt it for a minute.
