Not patient friendly. Did not accept daily analysis of declining health from family members. Refused testing that may have lead to the correct diagnosis. Avoided patient and family after discovering he was wrong. In the end, patient died. Family was unfortunately cheated out of final conversations with their loved one.

I started seeing Dr V in Nov 2016 as my primary neurologist believed I had MS. Dr V is one of the most caring and compassionate Drs I've ever dealt with. Any time I have an issue or a concern he is very quick to get me an answer or schedule me an appointment if he feels I need to be seen for the issue. He actually listens and cares what I have to say. He gives me choices in my treatment, doesn't just dictate what he "thinks" is best! Having a Dr I can rely on is very important to me and I have not been let down yet!

I've been going to Dr. Valenzuela for years. When I am at my worst, which happens a lot with MS, he is at his best. When he left town it was an easy choice to stay with him for my care.

My original neurologist had relocated out of state, and I had to switch to Dr. Valenzuela. I was worried about the switch, but after meeting him he quickly put at rest any reservations I had. He’s an excellent Doctor and I am very lucky that I was able to switch to him as my Doctor.

As a multiple sclerosis patient I have seen many many physicians. All of the older physicians have retired and been replaced by "cookie cutter" doctors who spend the 15 minutes with you and your out the door. Not this Neurologist, he practices the real deal. He is very compassionate, explains the reasoning behind his knowledge, and I feel like he genuinly cares for me as a person. INI in Peoria truely lost an excellent physician when he left there.

THOROUGH EXAMS, COMPASSIONATE, INTELLIGENT, KIND, VERY DISAPPOINTED TO SEE HIM LEAVE INI IN PEORIA. I HAD GIVEN UP EVER FINDING AN M.S. DR IN THIS AREA WITH HIS CHARACTERISTICS. HE WAS A ATTRIBUTE TO OSF!

After having been misdiagnosed by another Neurologist, Dr Valenzueula examined me in ICU and immediately assured me exactly what my neurological problem was and started me on the road to recovery and the results were unbelievable. I have all the confidence in his professional abilities and he is a definite credit and asset to his Neurological profession.
