Dr. Reva Barewal, DDS

I was referred to Dr. Barewal by my sleep medicine physician after being diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. I was using CPAP but finding that I was having so much air pushed into my stomach. (I also travel a bit and like to camp and carting around CPAP with a battery is a pain in the rear...) Dr. Barewal gave me all of the information I needed to understand what oral appliances are, how they are use, the different types. After discussion, she did a 3d reconstruction of my mouth (!) and then ordered the appliance. Over the next several months she worked with me to adapt to the appliance and advance it to the correct position. She was meticulous in follow up to make sure to take care of any issue that arose as I got used to the new appliance. With the appliance, I was much better able to tolerate the CPAP and had no more problem with too much air in my stomach. Now, a year later, I sleep with the appliance and do not notice it. After losing ~20 lbs, now I can… actually sleep with just the appliance and no CPAP--which is great for travelling and camping. She is an excellent dentist! She has always responded to my questions when I have called the office. I have recommended her to two friends of mine also with sleep apnea.
