Great appointment

My doctor is always smiling, confident, helpful. and friendly. Always listens to your problems and tries to solve them. If he can't, he'll recommend, another doctor to help you.

I have nothing but the upmost respect for Dr. Figy, excellent bed side manner. However, I can not speak for the same with the receptionist and the office manger. From the moment the receptionist picked up the phone ! No greeting ( I thought I dialed a private phone number) leaving me to be the one to say hello, only reason I knew someone answered the phone was because the ringing stop. I called seeking to get a couple day emergency fill of a medication (non narcotic) till I could get ahold of my Psychiatrist office. Immediately, the only the thing the receptionist would repeat, he is not the prescribing doctor and he will not do it.. I asked could I leave a message with the nurse or him and she would not even take a message and just kept insisting I had to call my Psychiatrist Office, even tho they were closed due the abnormal cold wind chill. I almost got the impression the receptionist was not believing Psychiatrist office was closed.. I proceeded to ask her if I was a heart… patient in need of an emergency fill what would happen she said that would be called in and that is different from my condition. Right then and there my mouth dropped, I understand there is a stigma around mental health however to face it at the doctors office is sad.. I then proceeded to say I would like to speak to the office manger who was also very hostile and supported the receptionist( I guess the customer isn't right in the medical field) and gave the impression that I was lying about my Psychiatrist office being closed. What would I have to lie about ? I just wanted a couple day refill for my Zoloft - until my Psychiatrist office would reopen. I never felt so humiliated and disrespected..Thankfully the local pharmacy was able to help me out ! When I called back to Dr Figy office to cancel doctor message again the same receptionist was very rude this time with my husband, since I was afraid to call back myself. I understand having a heart condition or physical aliment is different from mental health however when abruptly stopping an anti depressant it is not pretty either.. As I said Dr. Figy great doctor, I even went with an higher cost insurance plan just so I could continue seeing Dr. Figy, I chose wrong. I will now be seeking a new primary care doctor office.. So sad to see a well respected Doctor in the community not to have a compassionate and friendly office staff.

Hands-down, Dr. Figy is the best family doctor I've had (I've moved across several states in the last 20 years). He is friendly, compassionate, and caring; he takes the time to answer patient questions. I've never felt rushed during my visits with him. I highly recommend him!

Robotic, no bedside manner, no warning about side effects, inaccurate diagnosis. When asked about side effects he stated "everything can cause everything" in response to my one question during the visit. His inability to treat my symptoms caused me to get much sicker now I have a chronic condition. Will not refill urgent prescriptions unless you schedule an appointment and they never have appointments that day. Have waited over weekends in excruciating pain. Twice had to go to urgent care places because he couldn't do his job. Worst doctor I have ever had.

Dr. Figy is an amazing doctor, I always feel like he actually CARES about me. The office staff has been rude in the past, but lately they have been better. While I feel I can always get in, sometimes my visits feel rushed. Overall, I am very satisfied with Dr. Figy being my PCP.
