Dr. Rex Louis Gomez, MD

Dr Gomez has been my gastroenterologist for approximately 14 years. He also cared for my late husband. I trust his knowledge and his care for his patients. He is an excellent doctor.

Provided health information that was in a pamphlet style with handwritten instructions. This guys is a WINNER!

Dr Gomez was highly recommended by a former patient. However, I tried several times to to make an appointment and found that his office staff does not answer the phone nor return calls. It appears that they really do not want new patients.

They found a tumor on my esophagus. They said it looked like Barrett's esophagus stage 1 and did a biopsy for cancer. Both are pretty much a death sentence. So I find out this is a two day test. But since it was Friday, I knew I'd have to sweat this out till Monday Tuesday or Wednesday. I wound up waiting almost a half a month to see if I was going to live or die. I started calling repeatedly almost in tears. I was simply begging for my results. They kept telling me repeatedly that the results were in but that the doctor will have to call me after he reads them. a couple of them were downright rude to me telling me that they would call me, and not to call them. So I continued to wait..... On the 12th day, I called I went off, after they told me the same thing.... that the doctor has not read my test results yet and that he will call me. Of course at this point I thought I would have to get a lawyer. I did not sleep, I could not eat, I was terrified, and these people did not care.… At one point one lady told me .... no news is good news.... Seriously!!!! They told me this !!! Praise the Lord---- the reason why they didn't care about me, is because, it was "not" cancerous or Barrett's esophagus. I can't believe they left me flapping in the Wind like that but they will never hurt me again. I have found another doctor.. when I told him what these people did to me, he was flabbergasted and angry. Thank God I changed my insurance and got a decent place to go. This is how people are treated when all you have is Medicare and Medicaid and poor.

I have chronic IBSD and get more help from my GP, friends, acupuncturist or his office staff.

I have had 2 procedures with Dr. Gomez and have never been treated better throughout a process.
