Dr. Reza Jazayeri, MD

Dr. Reza Jazayeri is a double board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with expertise in advanced shoulder and knee care, sports injuries, and complex orthopedic conditions. He treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, labral injuries, arthritis, ACL injuries, meniscus tears, cartilage injuries, and knee instability. His approach is highly individualized, with an emphasis on understanding each patient’s goals, lifestyle, and long-term function when determining whether surgical or nonoperative treatment is most appropriate.

Dr. Jazayeri earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. He then completed advanced fellowship training in sports medicine at Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic. He is double board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

In addition to his orthopedic …practice, Dr. Jazayeri serves as Director of Longevity at DOCS Health and is the co-founder of Xcelerated Recovery®. His work incorporates nutrition, muscle health, body composition, and perioperative optimization into a broader approach to recovery, performance, and long-term musculoskeletal health. He is also an international speaker and educator involved in advancing physician education and research in orthopedic recovery and performance medicine.
