Dr. Reza Mahrou, MD

He did an epidural on me and unfortunately hit a nerve that affected my sciatica and stance and walking stability. He ordered an MRI without the contrast for me which doesn’t show the nerve damage. With the contrast I was told by a radiologist it would show! Another doctor confirmed that he hit the nerves in the spine area of injection! The pain was so severe that I couldn’t walk properly, couldn’t sit or sleep without pain! He kept giving me heavy medications to bandaid the pain which are addictive as well. I never had to take so much medications before! Think twice for any epidural at this office!

Dr. Mahrou has a wonderful bedside manner.When I met with him the first time he had read my file and new may case history. I can say he is caring, listens well and a very personable . He also is an outstanding Doctor. I would recommend him to any of my friends or family.

Was a patient of Dr. Mahrou's for 7 years, he did several types of injections over the years & 2 radio frequency ablations. I've always been a very nervous patient when it comes to any type of injection in my back: I delivered all 3 of my children without epidurals because the idea of being injected in the spine terrified me, but Dr. Mahrou gained my confidence by explaining everything in advance & answering any questions/concerns I/my husband had.

Hello, I had terrible experience with Dr. Rafizad and Mahrou at their Irvine office. My appointment was at 10:00 am for epidural injection asking me to arrive 9:15 for check in but they got me in the room at 12:30!. They were so behind the schedule and for that reason the quality of service will definitely goes down. for a simple injection they put you in sleep and they clear your memory which is totally unnecessary. I know other doctors they don't do that. when I woke up, the doctor was not there to see me ( he quickly left ) because they have another center right across the street having some patients waiting for him and he wanted to earn more money basically. Next day I asked the staff to have Dr Rafizad to call me to review the procedure. I asked him why you were not there and he said I had RN ( Registered Nurse ) watching you. I doubt about his claim because I asked her and she explained that she is not RN! Anyhow I don't recommend seeing a doctor who is too busy and hang up a… phone call on you in a normal conversation. ( very rude and Unprofessional ! ). I asked Dr Mahrou to call me back but he never responded me.

Dr. Reza Mahrou was a very PLEASANT and professional individual. The office staff were just as pleasant, the wait time was maybe 5 minutes (If that). I enjoyed my visit with this doctor, we talked and he actually "listened" to what I had to say. I would diffidently recommend this pain management doctor to anyone.
