Dr. Rhea Hsu, MD

Very disappointed in her lack of professionalism and terrible bedside manner.. When you’re at a breaking point and have had a cough for 6 months.. I don’t think it’s probably the time to force the issue of exercise! She was quick to tell me she didn’t know anything about my being sick and I told her I had been to urgent care twice and her response was you should have seen someone else in this practice if I didn’t have any openings…That’s not an option when scheduling tells you “ you need to go to urgent care. We don’t have any appointments available. So when a doctor brings you to tears and then asks if you are depressed??? I’m guessing you don’t have compassion and certainly don’t know how to help your patients when they really need you. Kindness would go a long way. Getting NEW doctor.

She either lacks the qualifications or ability to make a proper diagnose. Dr. Hsu orders unnecessary tests and does not inform the patient. Dr. Hsu FAILED to follow through on prescribing a new medication before STOPPING an old medication even though she said she was going to do the proper research before making the switch. I ended up with devastating results due to her neglect or incompetence. She might talk like she knows what she is doing, but in practice I would not trust her medical expertise given the horrible results that I experienced first hand. Most doctors pull out a PDR in front of you and discuss a medication - so when I came back I trusted that she followed-up. Moreover, after less than 6 months as her patient she ran duplicate and expensive tests without telling me and there was no indication for any of these tests. I plan to check with my new internist and will file ethics charges if my suspicions prove correct. Anyone can practice medicine if you run enough… unnecessary tests; too bad she doesn't know what she is doing or I would not have had my hair fall out and develop a scalp condition that caused my face to swell and itch. If you go after this review and something happens - do not say I did not warn you! In case you question the validity of this post, I wanted until I received professional/medical evidence that she caused my health crisis! My face was so swollen that I had to go to the emergency room. All of this could have been avoided if she had just read up on my medications. She is a quack or a liar or both!

Use Caution when going here. The doctors are only so-so and their billing practices are VERY unreasonable. I was charged a Wellness exam $180 (seems ridiculously high anyway). But because I asked Dr. Hsu a question about my blood pressure (which they check every time a patient comes in regardless) and weight they ALSO charged me a sick office visit fee which is $116. So even with insurance payments I still owe them $200 for 10-15 minutes of doctor time. They apparently have the policy vaguely stated on one of the sign in sheets but I didn't catch it when I read through them. I know a person who used to work at this office and they said this is very common occurrence especially with Dr. Hsu. Wish I had asked that person before I went. Learn from my mistake! Find a doctor's office that doesn't have such underhanded billing practices. They are definitely not worth $296 in total exam fees!!
