Dr. Rhea Elizabeth Powell

Dr. Powell has been my Primary Care Physician for a number of years. She has always exemplified the epitome of outstanding clinician qualities: core expertise and competency in her field; a passion for patient care; extraordinary listening skills; respect; interest and empathy for me as a patient. Especially now, when time is a most precious commodity for all physicians, Dr. Powell has always been very generous with the time she spends with me during office visits to ensure my overall wellbeing, and on the phone. We also communicate on My Chart. I have had many medical problems since becoming Dr. Powell’s patient and she has taken every one as a challenge. She is very detail oriented and reviews my medications, and changes made by other physicians carefully. Dr. Powell is up to date with modern medicine in fields such as neurology and psychiatry. I feel first and foremost that Dr. Powell is my ally. Her upbeat attitude, detailed approach to my care, and genuine… concern for me, not just as a patient, but as a unique individual is extremely commendable. Dr. Powell treats me holistically. She takes the initiative to phone to see how I am doing even when I don’t phone her for a call back. She returns calls in an expeditious manner, and is never too busy to assist me with any administrative needs that arise. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Powell as my physician. It is often stated that one person can make all the difference and in my experience, Dr. Powell is that ONE.
