Dr. Rhyl Ann Fenequito Faeldonea-Seruelo, MD

I am very disappointed with my entire experience. She was a nice lady and the office was nice, but I don't feel that they deal honestly with patients, which, to me, is the most important aspect. I went in for a physical and was expecting a full body check up, not just a mamogram and pap smear. I'm not sure what a "physical" actually is. I always assumed that you go in and see your doctor and they make sure that your overall health is good. After she did the "routine exam" she asked if I had any other questions and so I explained that I had been having upper respiratory problems for the last few months. She checked my lymph nodes and had me get a blood test, it took an extra 3 minutes at most. She didn't even check my ears, nose, eyes and throat. I was VERY surprised to get a bill where they billed for both a "Preventitive Visit" and an "Office Visit." I called to discus with billing and they said that because I had brought up another problem I was having it was billed as… another visit. After a long discussion the woman simply said that the notes the doctor wrote made it okay to bill for 2 visits. I felt that this was very dishonest. I understand their policy about someone coming in for multiple problems and taking a ton of the doctors time, but to charge for an extra visit without saying a word to me. She should have said "if I treat you for your upper respiratory problems it will be counted as an extra visit." When I go visit the doctor for a physical I expect to be able to ask questions about any area of my physical well being without being charged every time I open my mouth. If you plan to use this doctor be very clear about what you want because it seems like she is out to make a buck, not help people feel better.
