Dr. Riaz Ur Rahman, MD

I would give this doctor zero stars if I could. He is nothing like the psychiatrist I had for years before he retired. DR. RAHMAN did not care about my need or help with the correct dose through a process etc... I feel DR RAHMAN discriminate against certain cultures by calling me a liar and asking me to prove my work. He asked to see the kids in my home to see if I truly was taking care of them but I am sure he still didn't believe me. He was dishonest in my medical notes stating substance abuse and alcohol and that is not true. I do not do illegal drugs or drink alcohol. He also falsified another insurance in my name just to use or bill for reasons unknown. I had BCBS and did not know he ordered Medicaid in my name. I tried to ask him why did he do that but he would never answer. He doesn't care to help you with the true diagnosis he is a fraud doctor. I will be reporting him to the Texas Medical Board and every entity I can find with the 20 identities he has. I will check the… insurance to see what he billed them because I see dates I didn't see him and why did he open texas Medicaid without me knowing.

I had been seeing him for over a year, of which I have several awful dealings with him and his staff. I could write a whole book about how unprofessional and indecent the whole operation is. Long story short, his initial diagnosis takes ~15 minutes and he goes off of that intuition forever. He demanded I return every 3 months for refills despite the fact that our appointments lasted under 2 minutes. Appointments were a massive pain to get, mostly because his booking agency is trash, and when you finally get an appointment, there was always an hour long wait beyond the original appointment time. Anyways, what drove me to writing this is my most recent visit. I did the regular 2 minute spiel to get my refill, but the "doctor" never sent the prescription to the pharmacy this time. I'm now going off of my prescription (which I've been on for over a year) because this fake doctor just disappeared. He and his staff aren't responding to any calls/emails. Its not the end of the world for… me, just extremely inconvenient, but this could be really dangerous with certain patients. avoid this fraud at all costs.

Dr. Rahman has been extremely helpful to me. Everything that he as suggested worked for me thus far, being that thus far only considers 7 months. He is brief. I don't feel rushed. From what I understand our appointments are a brief check-in about moods, meds, and any issues. I appreciate his manner as he's honest and direct.

I have never dealt with a doctor like him...seems like a fake doctor..totally annoying, unprofessional, liar, greedy..and the list goes on. Fake dr was late for my first appointment for two hours, I had informed that i had a meeting after his appointment, so the fake dr starts calling me during my meeting and his assistant started sending me messages "finish the meeting ASAP, dr is waiting. Hello i was waiting for two hours too..second meeting he was eating his lunch during my appointment time, called me an hour late; doesn't contact the insurance to find out what the patience owes before the app.. insisted that I pay default value of 25 bucks. I told him that's not what I pay for my specialists as i have met my deductible, he goes if you want to see me you need to pay. They refused to take calls from my insurance, finally I did a conference call with his operator and insurance who told him that since I have met my deductible I only owe 18.71. He again insisted to the insurance that… no its 25 bucks..The money hunger set aside, his threaten bogged me down.. as I was writing this review his office again called me and insisted that I pay 20% which comes out to be 25 bucks...Whatever I need to find a REAL PROFESSIONAL DOCTOR! Oh, did i mention, he was prescribing medications on a phone call (not even video calling) this cheater has never seen me. I know that psychiatrists are taught to read faces.. i guess here the issue was to make money! pathetic..

Terrible bedside manner, doesn’t take personal care of patients, pumps them through like an assembly line.

Unresponsive, unethical practice, and inappropriate behavior

Dr. Rahman and his staff failed me. I was taking Effexor (not a controlled substance) I’ve tried since last Wednesday to get my prescription refilled which ran out on Friday. I called numerous times and even voiced my concern about being in fear of the withdrawal symptoms. They never contacted me back or refilled the prescription. Sure enough I went into withdrawal Sunday afternoon. It was horrible!!! Called first thing Monday morning scared and was told I couldn’t be seen till the next day regardless of being in a state of medical crisis. I had enough by this point and drove to the office was told I would need to wait to be seen till 5:00 that evening after saying “I would rather die then take another 5 minutes of these withdrawal symptoms!!” They asked me to leave even though I was scared and obviously a mess. I left and called my primary care doctor and they were appalled by what was happening to me. They immediately called the perscription in and asked me to come in. I immediately… went to CVS and the pharmacist there was very concerned and had it filled within 5 min. How could staff and Dr Rahman who know the effects of abruptly stopping such a medicine allow this to happen to me? Please take my advice and do NOT choose him to provide you with medical care. This “doctor”...he failed me. I’m just so grateful for Kelsey Seybold clinic and their amazing staff for stepping in and providing me with the medical care I needed.

DR RAHMAN TREATED MY 99 YEAR OLD MOTHER IN HOSPITAL. SHE CAN BE HARD TO DEAL WITH- BECAUSE SHE IS SENILE AND HARD OF HEARING. HE TREATED HER WITH RESPECT AND HUMOR. IT MADE THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE EASIER FOR US AND HER.
