Dr. Ricardo Ysip Mabanta, MD

The doctor is great but his office support is horrible in getting medications correct and same with forms. I think I will start looking for another doctor. I came to this office when my MS doctor retired. I only feel frustrated

I have been going to Dr. Mabanta for almost 20 years now, he is the best neurologist i have ever seen and would never change to another Dr! He does not rush you, he listens and you can always ask him questions. I think by far he is the best!

I had a relapse in 2018 and I called the office two times and the girls at the office said to me that he is in with a patient. And I am new at this MS and I was having vertigo and I don't know if I was having a relapse or not. So I admit myself. Then he thought it was funny that he had rounds on that Saturday and that he missed me. So I never heard from him since I have been out. You would think he would call you as to see how you are doing, but no he didn't. I haven't seen him over 1 year. and getting the secretary to put me on hold to get an answer right away NO again. I love Penn but it was too long in traffic

Passive aggressive, and treated my mother who has cognitive and memory problems badly. He was impatient with her, knowing full well that she has symptoms of possible dementia. He also forgot he already read her previous EEG prior to the appt and gave us different results that really concerned me. The previous app he said the EEG was normal, then he said she had increased beta waves. I strongly questioned his competence, look elsewhere for a neurologist.

This is a doctor that it takes a while to get to know. He tells it like it is and has your best interests at heart.If you are ready to make necessary changes to help yourself. He will help you make a.better situation for yourself.

Crappy disposition, gave conflicting information about the medication our son was prescribed. Would not recommend under any circumstances

He's an excellent Dr., but a little stiff.

He makes you feel like you're stupid for asking questions about your diagnosis. He doesn't explain diagnosis very well. Never clear about treatment.

He was the worst neurologist I have ever met in my life. He gave me a spinal tap. He was extremely rude and impatient. He did not explain what he was going to do or how he was going to perform the lumbar tap. He ignored several my questions during the actual lumbar tap. I really dont like that clown at all. Stay away from him. If you are ever in Virtua Hospital and you have to see a nuerologist, request anyone but that guy. I have never written a review in my life, but my disgust for him has provoked me to write my first one ever.
