Dr. Ricardo Jorge Nieva, MD

I was a very young mother and he was very uncompassionate. He spoke to me rudly and judgemental for being so young. Very harshly he induced my labor because using an excuse that my blood pressure was alittle elivated later found out he was leaving on vacation. He did not do an episiotomy knowing full well how long it would take my baby to be born he even called the exact time my baby came giving him plenty of time to do it and when my baby came I tore from top to bottom and he said thats what happens when you choose to get pregnate with out thinking. I was very young and he has my mothers support I felt helpless. My son is in his twenties now and I am still scared from his carleasness. I never felt comfortable asking any questions he would scold me at my visits. I cant believe this horrible man is still in practice. I am sure he has treated some patients well my mom sure liked his approach and she also did not treat me well during that pregnancy it was a very sad time they were a good… pair very unsupportive. I have learned a valuable lesson always support my children when they don’t feel comfortable with a doctor and stand up for my own body. I hope this saves someone from going through what I went through if a Dr. is not compassionate walk out.

After a horrendous experience with my first daughters delivery, I was recommended to Dr. Nieva who was wonderful. He didn't try to force a c- section on me, he followed my birth plan exactly, and had excellent bedside manners & the receptionist and nurses were very kind. I would recommend him to anyone.

I saw this doctor ions ago. He seemed ok after first, but as I got to know him, he seemed to be in a hurry to perform unneeded surgeries. He convinced me that I had a large tumor in my uterus and that I should get my uterus taken out. I conceded to having the surgery, only because the company my husband worked for, was no longer going to have medical insurance. When I got the photocopy of the prognosis of the surgery and the size of my tumor, it showed that the tumor was the size of a small pea and it was benign. During the office visits, I also observed and heard that he would schedule all pregnant women for c-sections.
