Dr. Richa Dawar, MD

Our first encounter with Dr, Richa Dawar, she came across as a Diva, she did not interact with us or make us feel comfortable, she kept her eyes glued to what she was reading off the computer screen. She was cold and uncaring. At the end of the interview, I turned to ask her a question. Her phone was in her hand texting, she did not even bother to lift up her head to answer the question. About a week later while at the surgeon office, he called Dr Dawar and told her that she was on speaker, he told her that, her referral patient has high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and is obese, (plus her age) he would have to perform some other test, to see if surgery is an option. Dr Dawar laughed! I could not believe what I heard. This is your patient, you will be making treatment plans for her, a life and death situation and you laughed?! I called UM and change to a different doctor. I think Dr Dawar behavior was a blessing in disguise for us. One year later my mom is doing great.… Thank you God!!

Dr Dawar diagnosed me with CML almost two years ago. She was compassionate and kind when she gave my husband and myself the news of the disease. She was knowledgeable on starting me on the best medication with the least side effects and adjusted my dose correctly. This is a big deal in this disease. She closely monitored my blood work and followed me closely. She moved down to the facility of UM in Miami and that was too far for me to go as well as a change of my insurance, so I had to change doctors. While I was seeing her, because I am a nurse, I may have done my own research too much, and not always correctly. Since then I have found out the true extent of her knowledge and I am so thankful she was my original doctor. I highly recommend Dr Dawar.

Unknowlegable on Keytruda. Horrible bedside manner. Was switched to her because original oncologist went back to India

Non follow up, no care for patient, unexperienced and lack of finding a solution. Never read up on patients that were taken over by Wiznitzer. Horrible experience with this doctor

I was surprised by Richa's demeanor. She can be combative and downright rude. These are terrible qualities for any physician.

Unprofessional, egocentric, rude, negligent, uncompassionate, deceitful, untrustworthy, moody, manipulative, cruel, incompetent and lacks medical knowledge
