Dr. Richa Sharma, MD

I was shocked when I read the comments that Dr. Sharma is rude. I have experienced the opposite. She is kind and does not shame me for my bad habits.

I found her to be attentive and professional in demeanor.

The "doctor" was grossly incompetent, rude and condescending. Refused to take me as a patient until I explained that patient abandonment is considered malpractice. She stormed off cussing and screaming, returning later with nurse in tow and stated she was writing the prescription. She stated bluntly that she was not helping me just because I had threatened legal action. Her nurse and I both rolled our eyes. She later slandered me and my wife with full knowledge and approval of Via Christi management. Legal action against her and the clinic should help remind everyone involved that it is about the patient, not the bloated wallets of doctors and hospitals. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

I saw her recently. She and her nursing staff Elsie are rude and arrogant. Above all she is incompetent and sent the wrong prescription to the pharmacy and did not even apologize for it. Don’t ever have her as your doctor, you will be sorry.

I have never encountered a doctor as rude as Dr. Sharma. Another issue is that on several occasions she asked me what I thought she should do. Really??!! The last straw with her was due to an ongoing issue which was a result of a misdiagnosis and because of that she put me on a high dosage of daily aspirin. I called and talked to her nurse and the nurse (who was talking to Dr. Sharma about my issue) told me to go to the ER. The ER doctor called Dr. Sharma for more information and then I was handed the phone. Dr. Sharma screamed at me so loud on the phone saying that I didn’t need to go to the ER that the ER doctor and my husband could hear her. Needless to say, I will never go back to her and I do not recommended her. My issue was solved by another doctor that is more competent.

I went to see her before the holidays. She was so abrupt , very disorganized in her prescriptions , didn’t send in the scripts as promised. I was made to wait for 2 days before I got my medications. Do yourself a favor -switch doctors.

She doesn't seem to care about her patients. Went to her 6 months. The last time, I told her I was having low back pain. First word out of her mouth "I'm not giving you pain meds" I didn't ask her for them, I don't like them. She abused my wife mentally and emotionally, yelling at her with her nurse doing the same and tag teeming her. I had the joy of telling her that I found a new Dr. and we won' be coming back. We found a very good Dr. Do yourself a favor and keep looking.

Ignored my symptoms and sent me home. Next day in the ER, was diagnosed with severe pneumonia. Cost me money, travel & time? She was asking ME what I thought we should do! Look elsewhere for health care.
