Dr. Richa Sharma, MD

Appalling treatment by Ms. Sharma (License# 289784). The epitome of a lackluster, generically trained “physician” and prime example of what is wrong with this healthcare system. On a weekend, I was relegated to one of these urgent care facilities (the Burger King of medical establishments) to have a severely inflamed joint examined. To give you a sense how inflamed, it was 1.5” greater in circumference than its corresponding healthy joint, measured accurately by myself before visiting, there was also entirely evident swelling of corresponding muscle tissue… i’m talking like a cartoonish amount of swelling that originally prompted a friend to convince me to have this looked at. Ms. Sharma, after a quick glance said “nothing seems wrong”, dismissing the entirely clear evidence on my body and the account of discomfort. I sat there for a moment in disbelief and then urged her to look more closely. To placate me, she used her hands as though she thought they were some calibrated… device to measure the afflicted joint vs the good one and then held her hands in the air to show me that the swelling was not really there. Disbelief turned into anger, so I decided to leave Burger King without further discussion. Later on, the ailment was examined, identified and treated quite readily by a more reputable source. Avoid Ms. Sharma. She is a clown that somehow procured a medical license; whether or not that is a fault of her own or of the system that cultivated her is inconsequential, she is practicing and must be avoided.

Would give 0 stars if I could. On Sunday morning May 24, 2020 I called ahead to find out if this facility have the ability to give a nebulizer treatment (for asthma/ COPD ). I was told over the phone they did and also was told they could test for both Covid and the antibody test. I was having shortness of breath and difficulty breathing. After Dr. Richa Sharma's examination she explained she would NOT give me a nebulizer treatment and I should go to the ER for that. Her explanation was that the treatment would blow Covid germs around. She also was resistant to the Covid testing and antibody Covid test even though I was informed Immediate Care was testing for both Covid test. She acted like I was just wasting her time. When I was there I only observed one other patient. Dr, Sharma'a assistant conducted the Covid (nose swab) and then began the blood draw for the Covid antibody test. Halfway through the antibody test (blood draw) Dr. Sharma told her assistant to… NOT do the test even though it had already been started. Dr Sharma called in two scripts (an inhaler and steroids) . When I got to the pharmacy all the pharmacist had for me was the steroids and NO script for the inhaler. I had to call Immediate Care from the pharmacy to see why they did did not have a script for my inhaler. When I spoke with the office assistant inquiring why the script for the inhaler was not at the pharmacy she stated I had to have the Pharmacist call Immediate Care and request the script. WHAT??? She called in the steroids but I HAD TO have the pharmacy call them for the inhaler Dr, Sharma said I needed when I was under her exam. Unbelievable !!! This is possibly the WORST MEDICAL CARE I have ever experienced. I walked away feeling worse from the anxiety and the flawed treatment i received. She showed no compassion whatsoever. I would NEVER recommend this facility and more importantly this doctor to anyone. I do understand we are ALL going through some very trying times but there is no excuse for a doctor to treat a person in medical need this way. Next time I will go directly to the ER and bypass the negligence of Immediate CARE.
