I wouldn't recommend him as a cardiologist. My mom had a balloon pump and seemingly somewhat seemed to be improving. He told us that he would be removing within 24 hours with no choice. Asked if her health declined if he would reinsert the balloon pump? He stated absolutely NOT with no options. Asked if an LVAD was appropriate, he stated he didn't think she qualified because must be much worse and up to cardio team. When she was bad. I asked again and was told she wouldn't make it thru the procedure. Went from step one to step three. And left out step two. Being a Cardiac ICU, The equipment should be in operable conditions at all times. The respiratory therapist took approximately 20 minutes to get to my mom while she was struggling breathing and when she brought the O2 machine, it was inoperable and it took another ten minutes before she returned. The RT was laughing with the nurse and slowly unwinding the hose while my mom laid there struggling. They informed us the… monitor stated she was getting enough oxygen when their O2 machine was inoperable. But yet was told all their equipment is accurate. The focus on their machines is more important than the struggling patient. The nurse told us that my mom was just having anxiety attacks and that my dad and I was feeding off my mom and having anxiety attacks also. When talking to one of his physicians about my moms care, was informed we wasted 15 minutes of his time and that he had to move on. Is this the kind of care you want your loved one to have? Then Dr. Bach and his staff is for you... We now grieve daily while he enjoys his family...
