Every time we leave the clinic I pinch myself just knowing how happy I am that we found such a skilled and down-to-earth clinic. This review is long overdue, as my father has been a patient of this clinic for over 4 years. Each time my father has been hospitalized, I feel at ease, knowing that Dr. Baum and the entire Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio will be there as an advocate on his behalf and with his best interests in mind. They performed the utmost care during each hospitalization and slowly I have had the pleasure of meeting almost the whole office, including PA Olvera, Dr. Contreras, Dr. Gerasimon, and Dr. Jayaram. With each doctor, even after hours, we have had the most positive experiences one can have during great emotional duress. I say- trust no other and look no further- Dr. Baum is the man, and PA Olvera and Dr. Jayaram will be there for you and your family member through thick and thin. You can rest knowing you finally found a great cardiology team. Bless you guys and… thank you for keeping my father alive and sorting out his blood pressure and truly caring about us. The way you treat us makes us feel like family and we love to visit you guys, preferably outside the hospital, but I know we both feel like you guys are the celebrities when we do see you at the side of the hospital bed. Since the pandemic has taken place, I have to say that seeing these earth angels in action, working with and for my father, I have never had my heart fill up with this… amount of gratitude before. I am grateful for this clinic to still be active and still working at 100% to keep the people of San Antonio alive and healthy. I am grateful for the times that Baum comes in to the hospital to see my dad and how he genuinely cares about people and you can tell. Dr. Baum and his colleagues are my father's favorite people to work with and see, in and out of the hospital. I know my father feels at ease knowing that his presence and expert opinion on my father's condition will be sorted out via Baum and the nurses. We can't express how humble this clinic is, and how much praise each person should be getting during this time in particular. They will certainly steal your heart in the best way possible, and they will do their utmost to keep your loved ones on this earth another day. I give full support, confidence, trust, and health to these doctors, and I am so happy to have such an adroit team surround my father. I am very pleased with medical care from Dr Richard Allen Baum. My primary physician referred me to him, & she always refers me to the best specialists. Dr Baum has been very professional & attentive, with my overall medical (heart) care.

I've been a patient of Dr. Baum from approx. 1995 to present. I find Dr. Baum to be great at his practice looking at the big picture. Tells you like it is. Very knowledgeable cardiologist. Offers good advice, alternatives if you choose to follow up. Answers all the questions. Great sense of humor.

Friendly and knowledgeable: you can tell he has a high level of intellectual curiosity, and I actually enjoy going to see and speak with him! Would definitely recommend to anyone I cared about.

Excellent physician and staff

Staff was very friendly. Dr. Baum was very knowledgable and very informative. I never felt rushed and he took time and listened to me and all my complaints. He took time to discuss with me about everything. He was an excellent doctor.
