Added response to Dr. Bulatti's response in parentheses...(Dr.B does not address his refusal to even try acupuncture. He refused to give me any treatment. He told me , there is nothing I can do for your type of pain. That it is not spine related. Somehow, the nerves in my feet are affected and afflicted..but these nerves bypass the spine? I believe the refusal for treatment was partially due to my questions regarding the cost. Even though I am covered by BCBS, I was asked to sign a form saying I would prepay for any treatment. I questioned this at the front desk.) He explained rudimentary spine and disc information to me, information I have heard from Dr.'s for years. I had been treated by an anesthesiologist in 2010 for the same type of shot he was supposed to give me. At that time the lidocaine shot I received did help some. Some pain relief is better than nothing. But Bulatti said," nothing I can do", his contribution to me after my appointment...nothing. I asked if acupuncture… could do anything for the pain he said no, nothing. I left, feeling hopeless. (That seemed odd to me.It was like he was trying to be rid of me.As acupuncture is touted to help pain issues of all types and magnitudes. Would it have helped my pain? ) I immediately drove to my primary dr. and told him what happened. He said the shot he asked him to give me may have helped and Bulatti was wrong to tell me there was no hope for me. Bulatti "bedside manner" made me feel hopeless. No one NO ONE should make you feel hopeless. (I do not recommend this pain clinic with more focus placed on payment than treatment.)

Line 'em up, move 'em out

I have not met him as I was unable to make appointment. I have a primary and a secondary insurance plan. The deductible on my primary insurance has been met. The deductible on my secondary insurance has not been met. Because of this, I am required to pay the rest of the secondary insurance before I can see him or have any procedure done. They will not submit to my primary insurance until the deductible on my secondary has been met. I do not have that amount of money to pay the entire amount at once so therefore I can not see him. I have never been so angry! I have not experience this anywhere else. I found it ironic that he is to help people in pain but he will only do it if you have money or a very low deductible. Right now, I have to deal with my back pain until I meet the deductible or until I find someone else.

I have had issues twice now at his office where he sees patients with his office staff. Office notes were not given to referral Dr. and this time they were out to lunch 20 minutes past time stated on door, making me later for actual appointment with Dr at Midwest Neurosurgery office. I was very upset by their insufficiency once again. DR BELATTI is good at what he does and his staff at midwest was friendly and professional.

He is soft spoken and kind. He gives you all the time you need.If he feel more testing is needed he has you do it. He takes no chances just because his patient feels they are just perfect health. That is not always the case. He is confident with his work, making the patient at ease.

The doctor wants to jump in line on insurance claims and expects his patients to finance his business. I have been diagnosed with DDD and need a spinal fusion and was sent to him to see about injections waiting to see the surgeon. They want me to pay my deductible without submitting to insurance first and waiting their turn in line, especially when once all current claims are in the deductible will be met. What a crook!
