i was orginally scheduled to see someone else at this office, they just sent dr. blanks in... he doesn't know anything about why my muscles/tendons been tearing in the first place, like lack of vitamins or minerals,etc, and he doesn't know anything about rebuilding your muscle or what creatine, carnosine, or taurine even does!! wow. basically he ended up leaving when he wanted to quit and not find out my questions... we end up talking in the hall... he has no idea alot and said just keep stretching! no help for pain or referral either. something about he deals with knees....well they knew why i was coming in when i made the appointment so why put me with this guy?!

Dr Blanks operated on my toren bicep and reattached the tendon… he coulndt have done a better job

Dr. Richard Blanks, MD, of OrthoWest left a huge impression on me as a patient with a healing torn rotator cuff and “frozen” shoulder! He made me feel like there was no one else in the waiting room, waiting to see him. He devoted his full attention to what I had to say, and took the time to answer my questions so that I fully understood what he was saying. I was so relieved that he left it up to me, whether or not I wanted a cortizone shot. And he didn’t push me towards surgery, either. He really listened to my symptoms and to my preferences, as well. That is so rare! I am so very grateful and I recommend Dr. Blanks to anyone.

I had shoulder surgery. Was not told about recovery time. Had no idea it would be 9-12 mo. He never had surgery report in file on my 2 aftercare appointments. Finally after 4 months after surgery, I had to call the surgery center and get my own surgery report. That’s when I found out he had put a screw in my arm. My appointments with hi we’re literally 5?minutes long. He flat out lied to my mom and I. Worst experience ever. Didn’t put me into physical therapy until the 12th week post-op. I have since seen a new doctor. I now have frozen shoulder. They charge you to do Disability papers. Under my insurance you cannot do that. Everything about this experience was awful. Don’t have him perform surgery on you. Find another doctor!!! Trust me!
