Dr. Richard Harris Blau, MD

Suffering from debilitating knee pain, I went to an orthopedist who recommended surgery. Then I went to Dr. Blau. He tapped my knee (which did not hurt at all) and extracted a good amount of fluid. I was amazed--I walked out of his office with zero pain, zero discomfort! And the office, I must add, should be the standard of medical practices everywhere. No waiting, happy, upbeat staff--they even have great music. Of course the best thing about this practice is how good the doctor is. He not only cured me, he saved me from a surgery that was completely unnecessary. I highly recommend this talented and experienced physician.

I was very fortunate to become a patient of Dr. Blau. I was in terrible shape from my RA and could not take care of myself. The pain was debilitating both physically and emotionally. After extensive testing, Dr. Blau treated me with the immediate focus on alleviating my pain and then a long range treatment plan. I cannot explain how much I appreciate and admire Dr. Blau. I am pain free and my life is returning to normal. I am so thankful to Dr. Blau and his staff. They are competent, efficient, caring and encouraging.

Me and my family have been using Dr. Blau for over 25 years. He is a very special doctor. Always caring and gives you as much time as you need. He has helped me with the arthritis problems that I have and always gives advise on a personal level. I truly am grateful to have Dr. Blau as my doctor.

Dr. Blau and his team are incredible. My wife went there and she was in critical condition. Dr. Blau was so nice and he helped us so much. He created and managed a team of Doctors that my wife needed. He was in constant touch with all her Doctors. Dr. Blau and his staff were so comforting. He was actively involved in all treatments and kept an close eye on her and her recovery. We cannot thank him enough. We highly recommend him and we are so blessed to have him as our Doctor.

Absolutely horrendous trying to get an appointment if you work. I painstakingly made an appointment and the staff cancelled it because I could not leave my classroom to call and confirm at 2:00. Called st lunch that day but they turn their phones off at lunch and you can’t leave message. I am wondering what kind of physician runs his office this way. I didn’t want to even click one star but the app wouldn’t post my comment without it.

I wanted to find a new rheumatologist, and my primary game me Dr. Blau’s name since she knew he took my insurance. Her first choice of rheumatologist didn’t take my insurance. Dr. Blau’s office staff asked I have my medical records sent over from my previous rheumatologist. They told me he would review my records and decide if he would take me on as a patient. Three days later the office called me and said Dr. Blau would not see me because he felt there was nothing more he could do for me. I was hoping to find someone who could tell me why I’ve had all over joint pain for the past four years. I had been seeing a rheumatologist for two years, and I still didn’t feel any better. I was hoping a new pair of eyes might see something they didn’t. Dr Blau’s response made me feel like there was no hope. He doesn’t treat people with osteoarthritis or fibromyalgia. I don’t believe either one of those are my issue. So he picks and chooses which disorders he will treat. He sounds like he’s a… little full of himself. Shame on you.

I recently had the benefit of an appointment with Dr. Blau for my osteoarthritis & bone spurs in my knees. Dr. Blau’s staff members are caring, competent and efficient. Their follow-up is effective, and provided a very positive office experience, which is not easy in today’s fast-paced world. Dr. Blau is the most knowledgeable and experienced doctor, as well as compassionate and very thorough. His complimentary book is so well researched and substantive with in-depth medical information for education, as well as practical help in exercises and nutritional recipes. There is no one I would recommend more highly than Dr. Blau for any person in need of a rheumatologist.

Dr. Blau is very understanding, professional and thorough. I have many issues and Dr. Blau is always available to have the time to help me. His staff is friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. I am so grateful to have Dr. Blau as my doctor. Thank you.

I have suffered with advanced osteoarthritis and degenerative joint disease for the past 15 years. After having two total hip replacements, this dreaded disease spread to both knees and my ankles. I called Dr. Blau after watching his commercial on Channel 12. I thank God for Dr. Blau, his highly skilled PA Katherine, the Nurses, Techs and the wonderful ladies in the Front Office. I never thought I could be pain free without surgery but with Dr. Blau’s expertise and innovative treatment plan, I no longer experience that painful “crunching” that came about as a result of my bone on bone condition. Dr. Blau truly delivers on his promises to get you on your way towards pain free living WITHOUT surgery. You also get free book filled with tasty recipes that actually relieve inflammation ( who knew that turmeric rice could be so good for you??!!). I highly recommend giving him try.

I recommended Dr. Blau to a friend of mine bc he changed my life, pain and mobility-wise. She read some recommendations on here and asked me about them. After perusing, I see that the people who complained here never actually saw Dr. Blau! I don't know why this is allowed. His office is immaculate, his staff so warm and the equipment is state-of-the-art. Of course that doesn't mean much if your symptoms and pain don't diminish but Dr. Blau does not give up. It took some time to find the exact right combo of medications to treat my admittedly complex illness, but once we did, I feel great. I am gardening again, which I never thought would happen. I highly recommend Dr. Richard (note: Richard!) Blau, and his crack staff.
